Switching

Switching broadband, made easy.

Thanks to new UK rules, changing broadband providers is simpler than ever. We handle the entire process for you — no awkward phone calls to your current provider, no downtime drama. Just a smooth switch to better broadband.

How switching to Home Unity works

Three steps. That's it. We've done the hard work so you don't have to.

01

Choose your package

Select a broadband speed that fits your needs. Not sure? We'll help you pick the right one — no upselling, just honest advice.

02

We handle the switch for you

Thanks to Ofcom's One Touch Switch process, we contact your current provider on your behalf. You don't need to call them at all. Seriously.

03

You're live with Home Unity

You'll be notified of your switch date. Your old service cancels automatically once your new connection is live. That's it. Done.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to contact my current provider?

Not at all. Once you place your order, we contact your current provider for you and manage the switch as part of the One Touch Switch process.

Will my broadband be interrupted?

In most cases, no. The aim is to keep your connection live during the switch. If a short interruption is unavoidable, we’ll explain this clearly in advance.

Can my current provider stop me from switching?

No. Your current provider cannot block your switch or delay it unfairly. Switching is protected by Ofcom rules.

Does this apply to all providers?

The One Touch Switch process applies to most UK broadband services, including full fibre and part-fibre connections. If your service is different, we’ll explain how the switch works before you order.

How long does switching take?

Switching times vary depending on your location and network, but most switches are completed within 1-2 weeks. We’ll always give you a clear timeline.

Will I need an engineer visit?

In most cases, if you are switching the same service from one provider to another, it will usually not need an engineer. If you're changing the service, such as moving from part fibre to full fibre, then it will likely need one. We'll let you know exactly what needs to happen so you're not left in the dark.

Will I be charged by my old provider after switching?

Under Ofcom rules, your old provider should stop billing you once the switch is complete. If any final charges apply, these should be clearly explained by them.

What happens if something goes wrong during the switch?

If anything doesn’t go to plan, we’ll work directly with your current provider to resolve it. You won’t be left to chase multiple companies.
